Close to my Heart mixed with Stampin' Up

This is another quick & easy card...all of the paper, ink, & the ribbon are from Close to My Heart. The flower stamp is from the Touch of nature set by Stampin' Up. The little thank you tag is just cut from a piece of paper that I first punched with the tab punch from Stampin' Up.
I have been trying to Blogg...Craft...do laundry, put my Christmas stuff away & e-mail a few times to my sister today...I think I may have to much on my plate???
Naaaaaaaaaa! At least I am not at work :-)

Something new to me!

I am so excited to have learned something new already from one of my new sisters, Kim! I did not know you could emboss with your crop-a -dial! Kim has allot of wonderful tips on her blogg that I happened to come across....so I thought I would give this one a try. The picture is not good...big surprise!... but you can kind of tell that I used it on the top & bottom of the yellow paper & all around the flower. All of the paper & sticker flowers are from stampin' up. I used my giga punch for the circle & the White ribbon is from Michael's craft store.
Another Thank you card done! Woot Woot!!

Thank You Flowers

Another very quick & simple card...The paper is from a 50 sheet pack from colorbok that I purchased at wall mart some time back...thought is was so bright & Cheery! The Flowers I punched from an old flower punch I have and the pearl centers are those cool flat sided pearls from Stampin' up's Pretties kit.
Again... quick...clean & simple!

Thank you Birds

I have many, many thank you cards to get out! So the next few posts will be very quick & simple cards.

This one is done with stampin' up pink & black paper...the birds are all one stamp from one of my fav. webs to shop...http://www.impressrubberstamps.com/ I stamped it on Stampin' up's whisper white (don't you just love that paper!) I did use Crystal lacquer on the words...just for fun...the ribbon is from Michael's, our local craft store. That's it...quick....and....easy!

Ho Ho Ho treats!

My last treat box!!! this one was pretty easy once I decided what I was going to do . I got the Idea from a card I admired from my friend Marge's blogg. The paper is from Provo Craft... the ho ho ho tags are made with stampin up's punch & real red paper as well as the Merry Christmas stamp, all other embellishments are from Michales.
I guess I had better get these filled & delivered!! nothing like waiting until the last minute!
Merry Christmas to all!!!!!

Blue treat box

2 styles down one more to go! I actually had this one done yesterday afternoon but ended up having to take my daughter to the ER...spent several hours there, then to the pharmacy & back home about 10:30 pm :-( She is o.k. just a very bad case of strep throat. NASTY!

Note to self...do not purchase the brown boxes any more.... the white boxes are much more sturdy & easy to work with....plus I made a template of all the pieces so now I can just cut & paste any scrapbook paper is no time flat! we shall see how long it takes me to get the next one done.Ha!

I made the tag...just covered a tag from the office supply store with white paper...added an already made tag from Michles...just glitzed it up a little with some stickles & a bow.... the "from the kitchen" stamp is from stampin up...so is the brad. the ribbon is from Michales crafts & the paper is from provo Craft.

This is my first treat box and UFF-DA!!! it took forever! The stamps & ink are from stampin up as well! The Red show flakes are punched with the Martha Stewart punch & the red Ribbon is from my scrap pile. The box I got from our local scrap book store.

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Tomorrow is my Birthday! and my friend Ilene invited me over to do cards on Sunday. We had such a day! it was awesome.....First we did cards for a while.....then we went out for lunch at the Olive Garden...then we shopped a little at our local beautiful scrapbook/craft store, Recollections. It was the best day! Just relaxing & catching up! PLUS...She gave me this totally cool scrap booking carry-all-tote & beautiful card. The bag is actually one that fits inside the other. It has more pockets & zippers than I can possibly fill. It will be great when we do our group get togethers. AND...when my craft room is to messy....I can just fill my bag with what I need & move to the kitchen or the dining room table!......what an invention!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH ILENE!!!

light up the tree

I like this simple looking card but it is a bit time consuming.
The Christmas lights along the edge is just a little 2 inch stamp I got on the clearance bin at Michales craft store....so that means I had to get out my stamp positioner and stamp 11 or 12 times all around the card. then I colored & stickled all the bulbs. The tree in the center is, I believe, from Stampin up. It was lent to me by a friend from work. I stamped it in green & then went around the whole image in green Stickles.
The merry Christmas stamp was also a clearance bin find. This one will be very easy to mail as it has no bumps or bulges.
Finished card is 4 1/2 x 6

same idea but a little different

Three cards...same paper...same ink...just a little different.
For those of you that know how much I like to scallop punch...this is my variation of it with a different corner punch. I have the punch in the picture but it is a little hard to see.
For the ink I used pomegranate & Wasabi from stampin up. The scallop edge is pomegranate paper & so is the ribbon. The gift stamp & Happy holidays stamps I ordered on-line from Impress rubber stamps. The Celebrate the season stamp is from Stampin up. Finished cards are 5 1/2 x 6

The 3 Snowmen

This was a very time consuming card to make as I paper-pieced all of the hats, scarves, & shoes to the snowmen instead of coloring them....It did not turn out as I had hoped (looks better in person)
The papers are Stampin' up...Pomegranate & celery & ivory... the hats & scarves are stamped & cut from scraps...the snowmen have diamond dust stickles on them...the edges are punched with Stampin' ups ticket punch. The ribbon is from Michale's craft store.
The shape/design is from one of my favorite bloggs to visithttp://stampingmoments.blogspot.com/
she always has the most unique designs.

Thanks a bunch

After the Christmas cards comes thank you cards.... This card is stamped from an unmounted stamp I bought from G-Rated stamps at our local stamping convention last year. I colored it with water color crayons the mounted it on chocolate chip card stock from Stampin' up. The corners were punched with an EK Success corner punch I just picked up at Joann's. (thanks Marge!) The red paper is a scrap I had and the little thank you is an old stamp from stampin up...the little frame I made with my sizzix & die with more chocolate chip card stock . Then used my crop-a-dile & brown eyelets from stampin' Up.

Holiday note holder

This looks like a Christmas card but it is actually an envelope with the top cut off & the front decorated......it is cute for holding shopping lists, notes, mail, tags....etc. This one I made actually held the maps to the location of our office Christmas party. The holder is something that was shared by my friend Marge at our last group make & take.

I do believe all of the papers are from stampin' up. The snowflakes are punched with my Martha Stewart punch, the tag is made with the stampin' up tag maker. The ribbon is from Michales craft store...& you can't see it well but snowflakes & snowman are finished with diamond dust stickles.

Merry Christmas

This is a card I thought I would try form the November issue of Paper Crafts Magazine, Page 55. Just changed it up a little with what I had in my crafty room.

The red paper is from scraps that I punched with 1" and 1& 1/2" circle punches & inked with stampin up's choc. chip ink. Punched out a couple of show flakes with my Martha Stewart punches & xyroned to a couple of the dots. popped dotted all the circles. The patterned paper is from aaaaaaaa.....not sure it was scrap also. The ribbon is from Michales & the little charm I ordered from Impress Rubber Stamps. A little time consuming, but very easy!!

Gingerbread House

I do like this card.....but it was not easy! I do not like to measure anything...kind of how I cook :-) so just sort of eyeballed the shape. Thought it turned out pretty good. The paper is stampin up's close to coco & vanilla. All the scaloppping is done with the Stampin up slit punch....I just love that! All other embellishments are of course from Michale's except the large brown eyelets, they are from Stampin up. This card fits into a 5 1/2 X 6" envelope.

Fa*la*la*la*la!

This card was quick & easy. I love the Christmas papers from stampin' up. The stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's. I made the ornament with my sizzix...added a little sparkle her & there and some black velvet Ribbon.
I rounded the corners of the the card with a punch...I believe the Idea for this card came for the latest paper crafts magazine. finished size is...4 1/2 X 4 1/2

Skinny snowman

Wow I guess it has been a while since last post! Thanksgiving was great! all my kids were here, no food got burned...what else could you ask for?
This little guy is from the stampin' up set, wishing you cheer.
I think the papers are as well. I stamped the snowman on the blue paper the bleached him white & added a little crystal effects with a sprinkling of glitter. The pretty ribbon is from Joann's. It is a small card...4X5

plain old happy holidays

Just a plain old happy holiday card...nothing fancy...I am really loving this paper pack by provo craft that I got at Michale's...so many beautiful papers! I think if I were to do this card again I would emboss the happy holidays. The happy holiday stamp I got at Michael's for a buck!! gotta love a good deal. The pretty ribbon is also from...where else...Michale's
HAPPY HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!

another door hanger

With this door hanger I painted it white first then mod podged the scrapbook paper on it. If you look closely you will see it is very glittery...like snow... I spayed the whole thing with spray adhesive then drenched it in Martha Stewart crystal fine white glitter. After that dried, I added the snowflakes...punched from white paper with the Martha Stewart snowflake punch & added some ribbon. The paper is from a holiday paper slab by Provo Craft that I purchased at Michale's.
A little bit of snow in Arizona!!!!

Happy Birthday to Danielle

Happy Birthday to my friend Danielle at work!! This is actually much prettier in person...again having trouble with the photography:-(
The paper....not sure where it is from...it is so beautiful (I have been saving it) the flower paper is a bit shimmery & the dot paper is actually a little fabric feeling with raised gold dots. I believe the flowers are from the scrapbook barn the paper probably is also the pearls are from stampin up...the wrapped up candies are the Hershey's chocolate toffee with Almonds nuggets. (the only ones with gold paper) That's it! very quick & easy!

Funny little santa

I actually need to make a few of these...so the cards are very simple to go with the baskets.....again the paper is from Michale's...actually I believe every single thing is! I don't think you can see it very will, but I put little tiny stickers in the center of all the snow flakes for a little sparkle. These are just so fun & easy to make!

Snowmen & Candy

Finally another crafty day!!! I had to work Saturday & then Sunday I had to shop for the grocery's....had not even purchased my turkey yet! Then...Could not even craft until I cleaned my crafty room :-) Anyway...This simple card & candy basket are meant to go together with the little matching candies. The little snowman & tag punch are from stampin up, the paper I found at Michale's...a whole book of coordinating papers. And of course the The Marve oval gigga punch.

Happy Monday...After a very crafty day yesterday....I get another day off today! Ya Hooooo! I made this card this morning, very easy. It is 5x6 1/2 card, the paper is from Michale's...a book of holiday papers. I believe the ribbon is from stampin' up & the flower is from my friend Ilene. I did put a little stardust stickles on the top for some sparkle & the happy holidays stamp is fromhttp://www.impressrubberstamps.com/

It's santa!

This is a tri-fold card even though the flap looks a different color, it is all the same paper....a real pretty shimmery red. Used the giga scallop punch with little stickers around the outside. The Santa is stamped in stampin' ups rose red. The ribbon is from Michale's. The finished card size is 4x5 1/2.

very simple Christmas card

I could make allot of these in no time flat! I totally copied this card from http://www.impressrubberstamps.com/

which is where I got both of the stamps. The Ribbon is from Michale's both the inks are from Stampin' up ...Real red & old olive Finished card size is 5 x 61/2

My new favorite card!

O.K. this is my new favorite card! It is totally & completely my own Idea! I used a piece of chipboard for the square. covered it with scrapbook paper...punched tiny holes for the rings. The cute little tags I got at http://www.impressrubberstamps.com/ the paper I got at Michale's it comes in a holiday pack with 36 sheets of corridnating papers from Hot off the press. The ribbon is also from Michale's. Finished card is 5 x 6 1/2

Joy to my little snowman

Here I go again with the mod podge! I found a new brand that I just love. It is the Martha Stewart brand....It is a little thinner...comes with a brush attached to the lid & it is clear. I also love these little paper packs you can get. I love that the papers coordinate with each other so well & they are small which is perfect for cards & crafts! The pads are 6x6 size with 36 pages of paper! I ordered it on line athttp://www.impressrubberstamps.com/ they have lots of cool stuff! & Caryn if you are reading this it looks like they have some brown Stickles!

Hello Mr. Snowman!

This is another of Michale's wood chip cut-outs. I painted it white first...sponged stampin' ups soft sky ink around the edges... mod podge a piece of scrap paper for his hat...added felt for the hat trim & scarf...show flake buttons from Michale's (with the shanks cut off) sponged his stick arms with stampin' ups Chocolate chip. Little hole paper punch for his eyes & orange paper cut for his nose & edged with Chocolate chip ink. He's a little cutie!

Christmas Mod Podge

Ya Hoo!!! I finally get another crafty day!! and I am on a roll. Got my holiday candle going, got it's a wonderful life in the DVD player and my crafty stuff is everywhere...just the way I like it!

My first project is another door hanger. All of the paper & embellishments are odds & ends from Michale's. For the stocking & the JOY blocks on the top They are just cut from any patterned paper & made into a sticker/embellishment. If the paper is thin I add a scrap piece of heavy card stock to the back (using my Xyron)to give it some body & then I add a little crystal effects to it so it's a little 3D. I do this allot instead of purchasing stickers.

Not my fave.

This card is certainly not one of my favorites! In fact I wasn't even going to post it! I did spend allot of time on it :-) I really hate it when that just happens some times! The ideas is o.k. but I think it is the colors or maybe it is the ribbon....I don't know.

Fall Card

I like the simple, clean cards sometimes. This one, I actually made the wreath with a piece of chipboard I colored brown. Stuck fall colored leaves on that I punched from my Martha Stewart Leaf punch, & tied on a bow. The stamp is from stampin' up. The ink & the marker I used are both Chocolate chip also from Stampin' up.

Happy Birthday to my friend Julie!

This card is for my friend julie at work....hope she likes it!
My first time using the felt flowers. I did scrap lift the idea from the November issue of papercrafts page 75. I just changed it a bit to make it my own style. ALSO Julie is an Arbonne consultant. So if you are into all the creams & potions for keeping you looking & feeling young you can check out her website (it is in my links list under non crafty friends)

more Arizona snow men

Perhaps I should have named my blog " my glittery days off" I put glitter or stickles on almost everything...specially the Christmas stuff & this one is no exception. I believe the paper, the ribbon & the snowflakes (roller) are from stampin' up. The word stamp is from close to my heart & the snowmen stamp is from Great Impressions.

From Christmas back to Halloween

I love making these flip flop photo holders! This one holds some pictures of my dogs in Halloween costumes. Here in Arizona you can get flip flops year around. I got these on the sale rack at Michale's for a buck. Makes a cute Halloween decoration! I got tired of making Cards for a while so I decided to start a few other projects. The little door hangers are always fun, quick & easy to make. They can be made in an instant for any occasion! Holidays, Birthdays, Baby or wedding showers, etc...how fun!!

Stampin' Up meets Close to my Heart

I thought this one turned out so pretty!! All paper, flowers & pearls are from Stampin' Up, The stamp is from Close to my Heart...I use thed the Classy Brass pick a petal from stampin' Up to create the rust 1/2 circle under the flower.

Very simple Christmas card

This is a very simple Christmas card :-) All paper & ribbon from Stampin' up. The stamp is from Great Impressions, purchased at Stamp Works in Chandler, AZ. I used a little Stickles for lights on the tree...oh & of course that cool little ticket corner punch I used is also from Stampin' up.

Thank You...for my husband

We had an absolute blast at the Brian Regan comedy show last night!! If any of you would like to check him out... this is his website. It is totally good clean comedy!
http://www.brianregan.com/
My Husband asked me to make him a thank you card for work....I just love it when he asks me to make cards for him to give to friends & family :-)
This is what I came up with...I think it could also double for a fall/Thanksgiving card.

Spooky

Most all of the Cards & crafts I do are my own Ideas :-) I totally scrap lifted this cute little Halloween card though! It is not exactly the same but close enough! I bought this book at Michale's, the card is on page 28. It has allot of wonderful Ideas to build on.
