Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash 8 of 13

I'm back with #8...rolling right along :) this challenge was hosted by Sankari. Her challenge was to make something using buttons. You can See her post & awesome project HERE
I decided to do a non-card this time. My BBGF Marge gave me a bunch of coffee tins a while back so decided to use one of those to alter.
this is my project using buttons:

The paper I used was last years MS. The buttons are SU The ribbon & the Happy Halloween are PTI. The handle is made from that stuff you can buy at the party store...it is wire covered with silver stars. This was a real quick & easy project! Hope you like it!! now off I go to work on #9. I seriously need to clean my room first!! Thanks for visiting!!!

long time no post!

So sorry to be gone so long! Work has just been taking all my time lately! Then on Sundays, now that it is football season...I make a big brunch, clean up that mess then cook a big dinner for whoever shows up for all the football games. Not that I am complaining!!! I love it that the kids are over most Sundays now!! For the record...I hate football!! LOL!!!
I made this little set for my little nephew. He is only 4 & wants nothing to do with the scary part of Halloween. SO I thought this would be OK. He, like most kids, loves getting mail. The little envelope pouch is so quick & easy! no measuring, & no cutting!!! It is so easy to make things for the little ones...they love everything!!! specially if it includes candy!! If anyone is interested in the pouch...go here for a quick tutorial!
That's it for today! Better busy...I have about 4 days worth of stuff to get done in my one day off this week!!! Thanks for the visit!!!!

basket of spiders

I was at my good friend Ilean's house yesterday & she had this fabulous Halloween paper! The spiderwebs are actually flocked..so it has that wonderful fuzzy feel to it. Sorry I do not know who makes It :( She was kind enough to give me a couple of sheets to play with!! THANKS ILENE!!! So of course had to think of something fun to do with it & this cute little basket is what I came up with!!!
The basket shape is actually made using a brass template circle from stampin up that I traced & cut out...so easy & perfect size for a few little treats!! No stamping done with this one! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Last Halloween card

I think this is the last Halloween card I need to make! It will be off to Thanksgiving & Christmas next!

Halloween Card

Found this witch stamp & paper in the Martha Stewart section at Michales...tried the old stamp, stamp, drag to make her look like she is flying.

October is Halloween time

I did have to work today, (10 hours) but have been itching to try this little basket. It didn't take long & turned out OK...yes, I think I like it! And I just had to make another door hanger. This is why I do cards & easy crafts...If it's not done in a day it will NEVER get done!! I really envy the quilters (like my sister) the needle pointers, the knitters etc...
I need the instant gratification of seeing it finished! I am the kind of a person who has to read the last page of a book after I read the first chapter...just to see how it turns out. Guess that's why I read magazines instead of books. I will try to craft tomorrow but it is another long day. Can't wait until Saturday, I am doing a purse book class at my friend Deva's I will of course be sharing that when it is finished.

Halloween Card Class

My friend Ilene & I took a Halloween Card class this weekend at Stamp Works in downtown Chandler Arizona. We had lots of fun & these are the cards we came home with.

We used the bleaching technique on the black paper. That was fun! I hadn't done that for a very long time.

This little ghost is much, much cuter in person! I wish I could take better pictures :-(
