Something different for me

Happy Monday all! Hope your weekend is all you wanted it to be. This card is something totally different for me...no flowers or bows or du-dads. It for my fathers BD. I decided to save the tie card for him form for fathers day.
I could not, for the life of me, get a good picture! Actually....if you double click on it you can see how pretty & sparkley it is. It really is a beautiful card! He was born & raised on a farm in Iowa. If any of you have ever been...It is such beautiful country! These old wind mills are every where!
All of the products are from B & J's art stamps. The technique is something I learned at our most recent stamp convention. It involves a lot of stamping over stamping & clear embossing. If you can see the little bit of snow...I used Liquid Applique & a little giltter for that.
Well that is it for today! I have many many projects in the works as March & April are like Christmas for me (except I do not get anything) as we have sooooooo many birthdays on both sides of the family! Guess I had better stop procrastinating & get to work!

Happy Birthday to my sister

This card if for my sister in Minnesota her BD is very soon...don't worry she is not a blogger....this card also doubles ashttp://mypaperworld.blogspot.com/ sketch. I really like this one...so clean & simple.
All of the paper & stamps are from Papertrey. I just love these new colors. The flowers are punched from some old punches I had. And I discovered something fabulous!!
First of all....in my perfect fantasy crafty world...every flower paper & flower stamp would come with a coordinating punch!! With that in mind I discovered that I DO have a punch that coordinates with the new papertrey flower paper perfectly!!! I am so excited...& if you have this little flower punch from EK success then you could punch out many many of these cute little flowers for all kinds of projects & cards!! Don't you just love it when that happens!!!
Well that is all I have time for today....I am so sleepy! & 4:00 am will be here in no time...hope you are all having a great week! I can not wait until Saturday so I can do my world wide blogg hop's...don't you just love the Internet!

Happpy Fathers Day!

Is this not just the cutest! This is my new favorite card!!! I was watching Carol Duval the other day & she had a woman on that was showing how to wrap gift boxes....of course my mind immediately went to "I could so make a card like that"!!!!! so I ran...seriously ran to my craft room for some computer paper to follow along and make some kind of a template....It worked!!!! I am so pleased with the result I even made a matching gift card tin.

The paper & tie are from Michael's...I went specifically to find materials that looked like a shirt & tie. The card is small only 4x5 1/2. Once I figured it out...this card can be finished toot sweet!!

I had originally meant this for my dads BD but think I will save it for Fathers Day. If anyone is interested...as FD grows closer I could easily do a tutorial. Let me know!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter! I had a crazy busy week last week....can't believe my last post was nearly a week ago. I did get around to visit some bloggs last night & as always saw some really awesome stuff!

flowers for my friend

Happy Tuesday all! Hope you all had a great St. Pat's Day!!

I finally made a card that is not a triangle :) This is a trifold from top to bottom. I used products from a variety of companies for this card. The beautiful DP are from Gina K. The stamp set is from Clear Artistic Stamps. The little corner triangle is made with a punch from Stampin' up. I also used Marvey's small scallop punch & the pretty pink ribbon is from Michale's crafts!

That's It! now better get some addresses on my Easter cards & get them in the mail!!

I got a card in the mail!!! This is my one & only St. Pat's day card...sent to me by my friend & fellow crafter Ilene. Thanks so much Ilene!!! I just love it! I do not even own any St. Pat's stamps :( Guess I better get some for next year!!

Flower Pot

I Know!! ANOTHER triangle card! AND it is not my last! This is a very quick & easy card using stamps from papertrey & DP from Gina K. The inks are from SU. I used heavyweight watercolor paper for the card base. I love using this paper if I am not going to be doing a lot of layering.

I am so so tired this evening as we had our group card making get together today & was there form 9:00-3:30....It was way fun & so much talent!!! Oh my heck!!! You will have to wait to see some of the things we did as now I really do have to spend some time with my DH...think it is movie time!!!

Happy Birthday to Allison

I told you I was stuck on these triangls cards & had made a few over the weekend! This was such a quick & easy card. I made it for Allison at work. I believe all of the paper except for the yellow is from a CTMH paper pack...love paper packs...so much easier for me to match. The yellow is from my scraps.

I used 2 scalloped circle punches & cut into the centers to make the large flowers & then 2 small flower punches for the middle & topped it off with a flat pearl from SU's pretties kit. The sentiment is from Papertrey. That is it! Once everything is cut out...just fits together like a puzzle!

That's it for today! Have to go make a buck or two so I can update my stash!! TEE HEE HEE!!! It is going to be 80 degrees here again today....but wouldn't you know a storm is coming for the weekend Grrrrrrr....rain, wind & in the 60's :( probably sounds like a beautiful day to some of you!!

This is my new dental Bella! I made this card for a new Dental Assistant at the office where I work. She just graduated & is going to take her x-ray certification test today....wanted to wish her a Little luck!!
All of the papers are from SU...aren't they pretty?? The Good luck is a rub-on & the ribbon is from our local craft store. Hope she likes it!!

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Monday all, hope it was a good weekend! I am so loven' these triangle cards!! I think I made 4 or 5 of them this weekend. So easey...just cut the tip off of a 5X5 card so that it opens on the top left side. I think all the paper I used on this card is from my scrap stash. The cute little bunnies are from Rubbernecker...I picked up a few of their stamps at the stamp convention. I stamped them on heavy watercolor paper. Then I chalked them a tiny bit in pink & a little pink on the edge of the paper. You may recognize that on the purple paper I used my score-it to add a little texture. The flowers are made with Stampin' Up's scallop & flower punches...I just cut into the circles to make them into flowers & then stacked them up! I finished the flower with a tiny pearl. The Happy Easter is a rub-on.

Bella is preggers!

Yep! that's right...Bella is preggers!!

This was so much fun! I did lots of paper piecing instead of coloring. Just love the DP also, I got it from our local scrapbook store. This is for my friend Nina, today is her baby shower. Little Preston will be arriving in early June.

So I better get this card in an envelope & head out the door!! Be back later this afternoon...lots of more projects to get done as well as see what you all have been up to!!! I just love Saturdays :)

Triangle card

Any way... this card is for my FIL's BD. The funny stamp I picked up at the stamp convention. colored it with sharpies & colored pencils. All of the paper & brads are from SU. The reason I chose those colors...is... believe it or not...My DH used to have golf pants just like that!!! & I still married him...YIKES!!! Well that is it for today's quick post :( I have to get to work...lots of teeth that need attention!

The Card for today's post was done with Clear Artistis Stamp set....Nature in Word. I used the glitter,acetate technique for this card. If you have never done this before, you should try it. very easy & fun. Just stamp Image to the back of a piece of acetate with staz-on & use some art glitter glue....the kind that dries clear...add your glitter (also to the back) You do not even have to be all that neat about it either. That is is!!! It is really beautiful in real life!!

Happy "21" to my DD

My middle child turned 21 last Saturday (Legal drinking age in AZ) Today we are having her Family Birthday party, I am sure you can guess what she did ON her actual BD!! :O

This card also doubles as my take on the "My paper world" challenge that ends on March 8th. http://mypaperworld.blogspot.com/

This is one of my new Bella stamps that I colored with colored pencils & added a little stickles. All of the paper is from a paper pack from Colorbook that I picked up at Wallmart.

I used the scallop circle punch & the 1 1/2" circle punch from SU. I inked all the edges with SU Tempting Turquoise....seems to blend all the colors together a little better.

The little dots on the sides are actually little 3D stickers from Joann's Fabric store. I used a circle stamp from Paper Trey with SU Certainly Celery to line the white circle & the 21 is from Michael's crafts #'s set. Then I popped that up & that is it!!!

Very fun challenge...you should give it a try! NOW I have a VERY long list of projects calling my attention PLUS...I have to bake a BD cake today!!! YIKES!! trust me...I am much better with the paper stuff! Things you don't have to eat!

Finally! Bella!

Finally after 5 1/2 weeks if waiting, waiting & waiting...my Bellas finally arrived!! This is the first card... for my DS's GF..she is actually cosmobella but his GF is only 18 so covered the cosmo with a SU cupcake. The DP is from CTMH and all other paper & embellishments are from Michael's craft store.

Had a blast at the convention!!! got a few things I just HAD to have :D...but now I am far, far behind on all my projects that are waiting in the wings

:( Awwww toooo bad ...I will be a craftin' & a stampin' allot more this weekend!
