The paper is from SU. And don't you just love that ribbon! I picked that up last year at Michaels.

Christmas Ornimant

Meet little sparkles snowman! This is another stamp in one of the new upcoming sets being released on the 17th of July from Clear Artistic Stamps. This little guy is the perfect size for a Christmas tree ornament.
How I did it was...Stamp image on acetate with stays-on. take 2 pieces of chipboard & paint them white. Then color in the little snowman's hat & Bow. spray both sides of the finished acetate with spray adhesive....I like Elmer's craft bond...then sprinkle with white glitter...one side at a time. Then when the chipboard is dry, spray those pieces with the adhesive & glitter. When all pieces are dry make a "sandwich" with the acetate in the center of the 2 pieces of chipboard. Punch a hole in the top with crop-a-dial. Add your string or whatever you choose to hang it with & that is it!!! very quick & easy!!!
***TIP***Just thought I would let you know...I figured out how to make glitter show up!!! FINALLY!
You just have to take the picture at night! I kept trying to take all my glittery pictures in very bright light...so just by accident I took this one late last night & what do you know!!! sparkles like crazy :)

These are cooling me down!

This is another card using one of the stamps from a new set that is due to be released next week from Clear Artistic stamps. I must first apologize as no mater what I do I can not get a good picture of this!!! It really is such a beautiful card... it is so sparkly that it did not even need any color!! You just can not see it in the photo! I used white liquid applique for a snowy effect & before it drys I apply a coating of Martha Stewart's Crystal fine glitter....so it is a bit puffed up & sparkles! here is a side view so maybe you can see it better.

The white paper is a glossy textured paper that looks a bit snowy all by itself. I can not remember where the DP is from...it is left over from last year. It is a hot hot day here today in the desert! So making these Holiday cards really does help cool you off!

last of the sneak peaks

This is my last card for the sneak peak at the new "Delicate Moments" Stamp set that is 1 of 2 new set being introduced this evening at Clear Artistic Stamps. I love this set! It is so perfect for little note cards...this card measures 4x51/2. The perfect little "just because" card. I also made several little 4x4 thank you note cards that I will share at a later time.
The paper is from SU pretty in pink & Lavender Lace. I also used an old set from SU, Simple shapes with the Matching pink & purple inks. I used my white jell pen & a part of one of the stamps for the white border. Of course the main stamp is a part of the new "Delicate Moments" set from CAS.

Happy Birthday Dawn!

Happy Birthday to my friend Dawn at work!! she is the best as every week she gives me all of her Michael's Coupons!!
This is a pretty loooong card. The beautiful DP is from the Angle company. The Brown paper is from SU, as well as the little ticket punch I used on the corners & also the brown ink. The ribbon & the heart as well as the silver beads all come from Michael's...most likely with one of Dawns 40 or 50 % off coupons :)
This card is also doubles for the http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/ "pink" challenge....just make a pink card... This looks pretty pink to me!! My job has gotten all crazy busy again so have not had much time to blogg surf! I really hate that!!! So I will be around when I can!! hope you are all having a fantastic summer!!!

Ainversary party invites

I have been busy making party invites for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. I must admit I am a little tired of tying bows! I think I did about 45-50 of them. I think it turned out pretty good. I will get them in the mail tomorrow & be done with that job!!

The paper I found at our local scrapbook store. It is hard to see but the white paper has a pearl sheen to it...very pretty. The little yellow flowers are from papertrey & the pearls are from SU. The ribbon I got from Michael's.

I do have several other cards that I have done but can not show yet as they have been entered in contests and magazine submissions. If any of you have not entered in any contests or magazines & would like to but are not sure how.....just let me know & I can tell you how/when & who to submit to. Of course I have never won or been published in a magazine but if you don't try you can not win!!!

Pretty in Pink

This is another quick graduation card...only one more to go!! the Idea came to me from the papertake weekly challenge. this is my take on it. It actually is pink & brown..having trouble getting a good picture. The card stock is from stapmin up...pretty in pink & chocolate chip. the DP is also SU. I used the large nesties for the center brown. The chipboard is from Michael's crafts. I used the crop-a-dial to add the rivit to the center of the flower. I believe the ribbon is from Papertrey. The congratulations is from the dollar bin at Michael's. Happy 27th Dear Hubby!

27 years ago today I married my best friend! Where did the time go??? This is the card I made for him.

The paper is from CTMH...I think this is perfect guy paper. The stamp set I used is from Technique Tuesday. I also used the Heart Nesties.

I also used the little tab punch from SU.

This card is also for a challenge over at http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/ the challenge is to use any die cuts...I used the heart Nesties on this one.

non traditional grad card

Who says a grad card has to have a cap or gown on it?? It is all about what is inside anyway.... isn't it??? I made this card for my cousins daughters graduation. very very quick I easy.

The paper is berry Sorbet from Paper Trey. I embossed large flowers on the paper with my big kick & the Flower rings embosser. I also embossed the white glossy texture paper with the flower #4 mat. I think if you click on the photo you can actually see it better. I found these cute little flower brads at Michael's craft store they are made by Provo craft....they come 45 in a pack and all different colors!!! I added the hero arts gemstones to the centers. The congratulations is from the dollar bin at Michael's.

Because this card has brads on it I am entering it in the my time to craft brads/ eyelets challenge for this week. http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/

Round & Round & Round

Greetings from Sunny Arizona! I have for a long time wanted to make a round card....It was so so hard!!! I really struggled with this!!! Spent several hours on it & do not even like it!!!

I like the idea of the skore lines & actually I like the whole green part but I just could not figure out what to do with the rest of it!

I made this cake!!!

Well my friends.....I didn't think I really had enough to do in my life... so I decided to take some cake decorating classes!!! How fun!!! I made this cake in last nights class...it was the last class for a while. I think it turned out so pretty!!! AND it even tastes as good as it looks. The inside is dark chocolate with a pink peppermint filling...yummy!!

The total outside of the cake is made of fondant. even the flowers...we learned to make those a couple weeks ago.

I just had to post it!!! now it is back to making invites for my parents 50 wed Aviv. party...I will post those in a day or 2.

I don't know how many of you have ever mass produced cards/invites but OH my Heck!! & Uff Da!! it is tons of work!!! Better get back to it!!!

very quick guy card

My husband needed a guy BD card for his brother....OK, no problem....need it by tomorrow!! YIKES!!! OK...so it had to be quick AND for a guy. Not so easy. It is probably still a little girly, trying to go for the king for a day thing..hence the crown.

All of the paper is from CTMH. The sentiments are from Papertrey & I had gotten a whole tin full of chipboard crowns of various shapes & sizes a while back at our local SB store. I just embossed it in gold & added some rhinestones. very quick & very easy...good enough!! I guess it could also be used as a fathers day card...hummmmm.

that is it for today...it is past my bed time. Enjoy the rest of the week! We are expecting a cold front for the rest of the week...only in the 80's....hope you are enjoying beautiful weather where ever you are!!

Spread your wings

Well....things are getting a little better...at least I get part of a crafty day off!!!
Yesterday I took everything out of my craft room & reorganized!! it took me all day but it turned out great!!! I really do know where everything is....even my paper is organized!!!
So with a nice clean room it took me no time at all to create this little card!

Yesterday we had our local group (designing Devas) get together. So much fun!!! About once a month we get together. We each design a card & bring kits for each of the others...Yesterday we had 7! So we each got to make 6 new cards!!! As always such great cards, ideas, & techniques. OH ya & the food Judy made for us.....Fabulous!!!

If any of you have never done this....you should try & get a group together! It is just plain fun & we all really look forward to it each & every month!!!

Well........you all can not even believe what a disaster area my craft room is!!! My BIG job for today & to clean & reorganize!!!! so I better get to it! It will seriously take me several hours!!!!

Happy Birthday Jeannie

Holy Cow!! it has been so long since my last post that I nearly forgot how to do it!! My life is still crazy busy :(
but managed to create this little set for one of the girls at work. Had to think up something very quick & easy!! love these little baskets...can actually whip one up in about 15 mins. If you ever want to make one there are direction under Labels/tutorials. All of the paper is from Michael's as well as the cute ribbon. The cake punch is new from the Martha Stewart Line, It is meant for weddings, I'm sure but I thought it made a cute BD cake too!! If any of you think the card looks familiar I did case it from somewhere...unfortunately I am not sure where...something I saw a long time ago. The reason for the little flower on lower right of the card...DUH!!!! when I was all finished I dropped the card right on the brown ink pad!! That is what I get for working is such a messy craft room....you should see it!! OH MY HECK!!! I better get to cleaning it up as I have a project to prepare for our local card group by tomorrow YIKES!!! I better got to it & then off to work!
I really hope to get around to visiting you all this weekend some time! I feel really out of the loop :(
